    Define a “deep understanding of AI and ML”. I agree that having *an* understanding of AI and ML is important, but a “deep understanding” feels like a tall order for people not directly involved in math, statistics, or engineering.

    Having a deep understanding is what actual ML engineers have, and requires a lot of knowledge of higher-level math (discrete math, applied math, matrix algebra) as well as the libraries used to do this kind of work (numpy, sci-kit learn, pandas). At that point, you might as well be an ML engineer. So could you be more specific about where you draw the line?

      I would say the context here would be to understand the scope of AI & ML here in terms of impact om users both positive ans negative.

      Like how can patients and doctors benefit. Ux practioners can help visualize, build and test the solutions.

      We can help translate big data into meaningful human centric actionable information. For example by cross referncing medical research with patient information across the globe we can help build solutions for specific issues.

      Scientists can apply the tech or crunch the data. But they can’t understand the user or their pain points.
